DAY 4 Houston Mission Trip

Were two days behind!! So here's the update, we started the day off canvassing around TheMission church property's neighborhoods. 

Ben with a cat that followed him around while canvassing. 


We went to Gringos, a favorite of the Fuhrmann Family! We enjoyed trying the green sauce, tex-mex food, and FREE Ice Cream!! 





Some of the group when to Top Golf, a  driving range with electronically tracked golfballs and scoring systems. 










Others went swimming in Pastor Mattek's community pool, and a few went to visit some family friends! 



We also had a barbeque, compliments of Wayne, a member of TheMission core group, who smoked the meat to make a genuine TX barbeque! We also got to enjoy Bluebell Ice cream!! YUM!!




And we also got to meet many of the church body, and meet up with old friends at a bible study at TheMission Church property. 


Finally got my picture with a true wels celebrity, Pastor Mattek... My second favorite Time of Grace Star.

We ended the night with Smore's at the Mattek's home. It was a good day!

DAY 9 Houston Mission Trip

 Our final day of the trip was bittersweet. We went shopping for souvenirs on 19th street in Houston! Then we went to the Nemmers for a fun taco party.  Two nights ago at Hope Lutheran's bingo night, some students won gift cards to menchies, a frozen yogurt place in Houston, so we all got frozen yogurt after lunch.  We went to abiding word to pick up Pastor Shone who dropped us off at the airport.  I took my final picture with Reggie, it was fun while it lasted, miss him already. Thank you again to the Mattek family for letting us use your car for the week, it was very much appreciated :)  We got to the Airport, went through security and we shopped for some last-minute souvenirs. We flew out at about 4pm.  We flew into MSP around 6:40 and got our luggage around 7:30, it was a very long wait :(  6:45pm 7:30 As of right now though, I'm missing everyone on the trip or involved with the trip.
